Water Present Is Not Water Safe
Bugesera is a lake-rich district, yet living beside water does not guarantee safe, reliable, or convenient service. That gap is where SAquaSolve begins.

Proximity is not access
Rwanda counts a source as basic only if it is within a 30-minute round trip, and safely managed water must also be on premises and free from contamination. Being near water, even a large lake, does not by itself meet that bar.
In Bugesera, a fifth of households do not use the source they call nearest, most often because it does not function properly.
An evidence gap, not a claim
National monitoring shows real microbiological and turbidity risks in surface water. That establishes a pattern, but it does not prove Lake Mirayi's present condition.
SAquaSolve's technical phase is built to test that condition directly, rather than assume it.
